WELL TONIGHT'S MY LAST COUNCIL MEETING AND I JUST WANTED TO MAKE MY FINAL COUNCIL COMMENT. UM, FIRSTLY, I JUST WANT TO GIVE A HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH RANDALL CLARK AND AMBERLEY KOHLER. UM, IT'S BEEN A PRIVILEGE TO SIT UP HERE FOR A YEAR WHILE FINISHING OUT THE FORMER PLAYS THREE COUNCIL MEMBER SNYDER AT THE TIMES TERM WHILE HE TOOK HER CHAIR'S MAYOR. UM, THE WORK THAT I'VE BEEN PRIVILEGED TO DO HAS BEEN AN HONOR, AND I'M VERY EXCITED FOR WHAT I'VE LEARNED IN THIS ROLE. AND I WILL BE ATTENDING LAW SCHOOL AND, UM, PROBABLY ABOUT SIX MONTHS, I'LL BE KNOWING WHICH LAW SCHOOL IT WILL BE. UM, AND I HAD THOUGHT I HAD WANTED TO DO A VERY SPECIFIC TYPE OF LAW, BUT BEING UP HERE HAS MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO ME HOW MUCH WE LACK IN MUNICIPAL ATTORNEYS ACROSS THE STATE OF TEXAS AND HOW MUCH WE RELY AS A CITY COUNCIL ON OUR MUNICIPAL ATTORNEYS TO GUIDE US AND TO GIVE US GOOD SOUND ADVICE WITH ALL THE DECISIONS THAT WE MAKE. AND I'M VERY EXCITED FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT I'VE MET IN THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT REALM AND, UH, THE WORK THAT WE'VE DONE UP HERE. AND I'M VERY EXCITED ABOUT IT.
