SO ROUGHLY IN A TWO YEAR TIME PERIOD, WE HAVE SEEN THE CITY GROW ALONG WITH THE CHAMBER.
AND SO TO DATE, UM, I CAN SAY THAT WE HAVE BROKEN THE 400 MEMBER THRESHOLD.
WE ARE AT NOW AT 440 MEMBERS WITH 30 MEMBERS, NEW MEMBERS SINCE THE LAST UPDATE.
THIS IS ATTRIBUTED TO THE CONTINUAL GROWTH IN THE COMMUNITY AND REFLECTS THE COMMUNITY AND THE INCREASING ENGAGEMENT AND INTEREST OF ALL LOCAL INTERESTS.
SO WE'VE ACTUALLY COME A LONG WAYS ALONG WITH THE CITY.
WE'RE TRYING TO KEEP PACE WITH THE CITY AND TRYING TO SUPPORT THE CITY WITH EVERYTHING THAT WE DO.
SO WE WANT TO DEFINITELY THANK YOU AND THANK THE MEMBERS AND EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS US AS WELL.
ANOTHER THING THAT WE'RE DOING OVER AT THE HU CHAMBER IS WE'RE WORKING ON A STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2026.
WE WILL BE GOING OVER THE STRATEGIC PLAN IN OUR BOARD OF RE UH, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS RETREAT IN DECEMBER.
WE HOPE TO HAVE THE PLANS, UH, SOLIDIFIED BY THEN.
AND, UM, TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT WHAT WE'RE GONNA BE DOING GOING FORWARD IN 26, 27 AND 28.
UH, THE PURPOSE OF THE PLAN IS TO ENGAGE IN LONG, A LONG-TERM VISION AND, UH, A VISION THAT WILL ENSURE AN ALIGNMENT WITH THE CITY AND THE CITY AND THEIR PRIORITIES.
SO WE DEFINITELY ARE GOING TO CREATE THIS PLAN WITH THE CITY IN MIND AND, UH, TO SEE WHAT WE CAN DO AS A PARTNERSHIP MOVING FORWARD AND WORK WITH YOU WHAT WE CAN.
SO I HOPE TO HAVE THAT, UH, LIKE I SAID, FINISH BY THE END OF 2025 AND BRINGS THE RESULTS TO YOU GUYS ON THE NEXT QUARTERLY UPDATE.

UH, IT WAS A LITTLE TIME CONSUMING, BUT THERE WERE A LOT OF ISSUES THAT AFFECTED A LOT OF THE SMALLER CITIES SURROUNDING THE AUSTIN, TEXAS AREA.
AND WHAT I EXPERIENCED IS THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO GAVE US A LOT OF INFORMATION, A LOT OF FEEDBACK, A LOT OF INQUIRY, AND PEOPLE THAT WERE VERY CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
SO WE JUST THOUGHT SINCE WE TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND THIS TODAY AND TAYLOR HU ROUND ROCK SURROUNDING CITIES, IS THAT THE HU CHAMBER SHOULD CREATE A COMMITTEE TO BETTER SERVE THEIR MEMBERS AND KEEP THEIR MEMBERS IN THE COMMUNITY MORE INFORMED ON WHAT'S GOING ON AROUND THEM.
SO, BEING A LOOKOUT FOR THAT, UH, IT'LL BE A COMMITTEE THAT WILL CONSIST OF BOARD MEMBERS AT THE HU CHAMBER.

AND THEY WERE REQUESTING TO USE THE PID FEES.
THEY HAVE COME BACK AND THEY'RE, UM, PRESENTED THIS AGREEMENT INSTEAD OF, UM, USING THE ENTIRE PID FEES TO REIMBURSE THEM, THEY WOULD LIKE THE REIMBURSEMENT JUST TO BE UP TO, UH, THE MILLION DOLLARS, WHICH IS THE TWO, UM, AS A CREDIT FOR THE TWO PIT FEES THAT THEY WOULD MAKE WHEN THEY ASKED FOR, UM, THE THIRD SERIES OF BONDS AND THE FOURTH SERIES OF BONDS.
SO THEY'RE, UM, SAYING THAT WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE AGREEMENT THAT THEY HAD NO OBLIGATION REALLY TO MAKE ANY MORE TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS OTHER THAN DOING THE TRAFFIC STUDY.
SO THAT'S WHY THEY'RE MAKING THIS REQUEST.
IT'S LIKE, UM, THEY'LL WELL, THEY MAY BE RIGHT ON THAT.
BUT WE HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO ISSUE ANY MORE PIT BONDS EITHER.
SO THEIR, IF I REMEMBER WHO THEIR ATTORNEY GROUP IS, THIS IS NOT THE FIRST PIT DEAL WE'VE DONE.

AND THE WHOLE POINT OF THE PIT DEVELOP THE PIT BENEFIT FEE IS BECAUSE THE IMPACTS OF THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE REST OF THE COMMUNITY, ROADS, INFRASTRUCTURE, EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ELSE, OUR PARKS.
SO THE ITEM IS PRESENTED, GIVES THEM THE MONEY? NO, UM, THEY JUST GET IT AS A CREDIT.

SO I MADE THEM REMOVE THE LANGUAGE FROM THEIR TIA, THEY SENT THE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT OVER THAT SAYS, AND I DON'T HAVE IT IN FRONT OF ME, I'M GONNA GO COMPLETELY OFF OF MEMORY, SO DON'T HOLD ME TO THE EXACT VERBIAGE.
BUT BASICALLY THERE WAS A PARAGRAPH IN THERE THAT SAID THEY HAD TO PROVIDE AN UPDATED TIA, WHICH THEY HAVE DONE.
AND THEN THERE WAS VERBIAGE IN THERE THAT SAID NO ADDITIONAL COSTS WOULD BE INCURRED FOR THEM FOR TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS.
UM, AND THEN THERE WAS VERBIAGE IN THERE THAT SAID THAT THEY HAD TO BUILD THE, THE CONNECTOR FROM POINT A TO POINT B, WHICH IS FROM ED SCHMIDT TWO 60.
UM, MY ARGUMENT TO THEM WAS THAT THE TURN LANES AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH POINT A OR POINT B SHOULD BE PART OF THAT ROADWAY.
AND SO IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THEM.
THEIR ARGUMENT WAS THAT NO, BECAUSE THE LANGUAGE IS IN THERE THAT NO ADDITIONAL COSTS WERE GONNA BE INCURRED BY THEIR DEVELOPMENT.
